Application for authorization as EMT is made by filling out the electronic form on the website of the Danish Patient Safety Authority via this link where you will also find information about the relevant documentation to submit in support of your application.
The decision on whether or not to issue an authorisation will be made as soon as possible after all necessary documents have been received. Normally you can expect to get an decision from Danish Patient Safety Authority within four months.
In case of rejection
I you believe that the Danish Patient Safety Authority haven’t complied with the administrative rules, you can complain to the Ministry of Health, Holbergsgade 6, 1057 København K.
The Ministry of Health cannot carry out any review of the Danish Patient Safety Authority’s professional assessments (assessments of foreign educations, exemptions from requirements, etc.), because The Danish Patient Safety Authority are the authority on issues relating to health professional, see § 212, stk. 1 and § 214, stk. 2 in Sundhedsloven (consolidation act number 913 of 13th of July 2010).
