Commercial diving (temporary provision and establishment)

You will normally receive a response 1-2 months after we have received your application. You may not consider your application to be processed until you have received a response from the Danish Maritime Authority. You must therefore not work as a commercial diver in Denmark until you have received notification from the Danish Maritime Authority that your commercial diver certificate has been recognised.

In case of rejection

Should you wish to appeal any decision regarding the recognition of your diver certificate, appeals may be addressed to

Your diving equipment must comply with the regulations set out in the Executive Order on diving equipment (Executive Order No 1394 of 12 December 2013). You can find the executive order here.

The equipment must be inspected and approved by the Danish Maritime Authority before being used for the first time. This also applies to diving equipment brought to Denmark from another country, even if the equipment has already been inspected and approved in another EU country.

All diving work must comply with the regulations set out in the Executive Order on the safe execution of diving work (Executive Order No 1395 of 12 December 2013). You can find the executive order here.
