We process your personal data for the following purposes:

To make decisions regarding applications for authorisations for a community license to transport of passengers.

Supervision with companies and transport managers approved for a community license to transport of passengers.

The basis in law for our processing of your personal data ensues from:

Regulation (EC) no. 1071/2009 of the European Parliament and of the council of 21 October 2009 establishing common rules concerning the conditions to be complied with to pursue the occupation of road transport operator and repealing Council Directive 96/26/EC

Regulation (EC) no. 1073/2009 of the European Parliament and of the council of 21 October 2009 on common rules for access to the international market for coach and bus services, and amending Regulation (EC) no 561/2006

Act on supplementary provisions to the regulation on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (the Data Protection Act), Act No. 502 of 23 May 2018

The Danish Road Traffic Authority complies with The Danish Freedom of Information Act and the Public Administration Act.

We process the following categories of personal data about you:

Personal data for the transport manager – such as your name, social security number, address, qualifications and employment.

Special data for the transport manager - such as collective agreements described in conditions of employment and arrears to the tax administration.

Personal data relating to criminal convictions and offences, which is of importance for our decision regarding your application.

Personal data for the company (only sole proprietorships)– such as the name, identification number, address, criminal record, arrears to the tax administration.

Personal data for the owner of the company (CEO and board of directors) – information about bankruptcy.

We disclose your personal data or make it available to the following recipients:

The Danish Road Traffic Authority uses data processers for filing of cases and receiving applications.

The Danish Road Traffic Authority keeps public registers and databases on authorized transport operators.

The Danish Road Traffic Authority sends the decision of the case and all kind of letters to the company.

Usually we will receive data from you when receiving your application or during supervision.

Other sources may be the police and the tax administration and publicly available sources.

Currently, we cannot say how long we will keep your personal data. However, we can inform you that we will emphasise the rules and principles of the Danish Archives Act, The Danish Freedom of Information Act and the Public Administration Act and how long your data is necessary for the case when determining how long the data will be kept.

If personal information about you has been submitted, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. This can be done by contacting us.

If you choose to withdraw your consent, it does not affect the lawfulness of our processing of your personal data based on your previously given consent and up to the time of the withdrawal. Therefore, if you withdraw your consent, it will only take effect from this time.

Pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation, you have several rights in relation to our processing of data concerning you. If you wish to exercise your rights, you must contact us.

Right of access

You have the right to obtain access to the data we process concerning you, together with a number of other data.

Right to rectification (correction)

You have the right to have incorrect data concerning you rectified.

Right to erasure

In special cases, you have the right to have data concerning you erased before the time of our ordinary general erasure.

Right to restriction of processing

In certain cases, you have the right to restrict the extent to which we process your personal data. If you have the right to restrict processing, we will henceforth only process information with your consent – with the exception of storage – or if a legal claim can be established, exercised or defended, or to protect a person or important public interests.

Right to object

In certain cases, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data.

Right to transmit data (data portability)

In certain cases, you are entitled to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to have this personal data transmitted from one data controller to another without hindrance.
