The rules for aerosol dispensers were laid down in 75/324/EEA. The Danish regulations are found in Act No 155 of 20 February 2013 on the design etc. of certain products (the Product Act) and in Order No 247 of 14 March 2014 on the design etc. of aerosols.

Aerosols are also covered by the Act on products and market surveillance, which does not add further product requirements, but primarily sets the framework for control and sanctions in market surveillance.
