If you wish to operate as a veterinary nurse in Denmark, on a temporary or occasional basis, you must notify the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration of this. The notification must be provided before conducting the profession.

If you wish to operate as a veterinary nurse on a temporary or occasional basis, you must make a written declaration to the Danish Veterinary and Food Administration of this. You must also send in the following information and documents, the first time you send in your declaration:
- Your full name and address, eventual address in Denmark and contact details such as phone number and e-mail address.
- Proof of nationality (preferably a copy of relevant passport pages).
- Documentation of your professional title and documentation on which member state how has issued the title.
- An attestation from the competent authorities in the member state of establishment certifying that you are legally established in that member state for the purpose of pursuing the activities.
- An attestation from the competent authorities in the member state of establishment certifying that you are not prohibited from practicing on a temporary or permanent basis.
- Evidence of professional qualifications.
