Companies must be accredited by DANAK or another national accrediting body approved by European co-operation for Accreditation to carry out "Environmental Measurement - noise" and "Environmental Measurement - traffic noise".

A fee is charged for processing application, assessment activities and annual administration for the maintenance of a permanent accreditation.

Application fee: DDK 4,274
Annual administration fee: DDK 6,411
Furthermore, expenses for supervision visits covering travel, accommodation and time consumption are added.
As the basis for being accredited by the accreditation body DANAK and to maintain the accreditation a company must comply with DS/EN ISO/IEC 17025 and meet the following criteria:
The Statutory Order no. 913 of 25 September 2009 on the accreditation of companies.
Relevant international standards for accreditation with associated mandatory guidelines and interpretations issued by the EA, ILAC and IAF etc.
DANAK's general provisions on accreditation of companies and relevant accreditation rules.
Any additional requirements of the directives, laws, regulations, guidelines from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and other specific requirements documents depending on the specific scope of accreditation
DANAK's website includes an updated list of current provisions and link to international documents from EA and ILAC. By the application, DANAK prepares a list of the specific relevant documents.
In general, the accreditation period lasts for 4 years as determined by DANAK pursuant to international regulations.
DANAK acknowledges the receipt of an application within 14 days. Here after the duration of the accreditation process depends on the applicant's submission of documentation. If the process is not delayed by failure to submit documentation, the duration is normally 2-3 months.
In case of rejection
A decision on rejection of accreditation may be appealed to DANAK within 4 weeks of the decision being announced, by requesting DANAK to conduct a new assessment of the case. If the new assessment of the case does not lead to the complaint being fully met, one may appeal to the Board for Public Procurement.

At the public website of the National Reference Laboratory for Noise Measurements, you can find a list of laboratories approved by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency to carry out "Environmental measurement - external noise" or "Environmental measurement - traffic noise". Link here.
Listed are laboratories accredited by DANAK to perform "Environmental Measurement - External Noise" or "Environmental Measurement - Traffic Noise", as well as laboratories employing persons who are certified by FORCE Technology to perform these measurements.
In the list, the accredited laboratories labeled with a blue crown icon are accredited by DANAK, while laboratories employing persons certified by FORCE Technology are labeled with a FORCE icon. For persons certified by FORCE Technology, it is also stated which specific subjects the certification covers.
