- Your companys NemId
Once you have logged in with the company NemId, you will be redirected to a new page where you have the opportunity to see existing poison notifications or to create a new poison notification. The poison notification consists of several columns to be completed, some of which are optional. Please refer to Annex 9 of Statutory order 1075.
If your company manufactures, uses, imports or sells toxic substances and mixtures for professional use, you must notify the competent authorities. If your company manufactures or uses toxic substances and/or mixtures as part of your business, it must be submitted to the Danish Labour Inspectorate. If your company sells toxic substances and/or mixtures onward, poison notification must be submitted to the Danish Environmental Protection Agency.
Toxic substances and mixtures are those classified for the hazards referred to in § 24 of Statutory Order 1075 of 24 November 2011.
Is my poison notification a permit?
No, your poison notification is only a notification to the Danish EPA and the Danish Labour Inspectorate, so these authorities have an overview of how certain toxic substances and mixtures are used, as well as the types of toxic substances and mixtures that are manufactured and resold.
What happens after I submit my poison notification?
Once you have submitted your poison notification, you will receive confirmation from either the Danish EPA or the Danish Labour Inspectorate as receipt of the notification.
How long is my poison notification valid?
The poison notification is valid for 3 years from the date on which it was submitted. The company will automatically receive a reminder 1 month before the expiry of the relevant poison notification period.
Is it mandatory to attach a safety data sheet?
No, it is not mandatory to attach a safety data sheet to the substance(s)/mixtures concerned. However, it is always recommended to do so.
