Reporting of spraying record

So far, farmers' reported spray log data in the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's SJI system has only been used to collect data for statistics, report these statistics to the EU Commission and as a basis for selecting companies for the Danish Agriculture Authority's physical inspection visits. As something new, from the next planning period, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency will introduce the possibility that the information can be used for direct control of the use of illegal pesticides.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency will for the first time inform about this possibility by reporting in the SJI system for the planning period 2020/2021, ie for the period 1 August 2020 to 31 July 2021, which has a reporting deadline of 31 March 2022. It will thus be after 31 March 2022 possible for the Danish Environmental Protection Agency to enforce violations of the use of illegal pesticides solely on the basis of the report in SJI.

When do you have to report a spray record?

• You must report for one plan period at a time

• A planning period runs from 1 August to 31 July (and for extended planning periods until 30 September - see later)

• Reports for the plan period can be made as soon as you have carried out your last spraying - the system is always open for reporting

• The deadline for reporting is March 31 each year

• You only need to report the spraying information that corresponds to the relevant planning period

• Thus, you can not report the sprays that are before August 1st and after July 31st

• If you have not used pesticides during the planning period in question, you must report that you have not used pesticides on your fields - see section 4.8 in the instructions.

Possibility to extend the planning period

• If you grow crops that need to be sprayed and harvested after 31 July, but before 31 December, you can extend the planning period to 30 September.

• You can therefore spray until 30 September

• Sprays on these fields must be carried out during the planning period that expired on 31 July.

If you want your consultant to report your total pesticide consumption via the Agricultural IT systems, you must give consent to the consultant's agricultural organization.

You do this by logging in to the SJI system with your NemID for Business and via the tab "My page" delegate the task to the relevant organization and IT system. Please note that the power of attorney is given to the organization / IT system itself and not to a named consultant.

The delegation (the power of attorney) requires that the Danish Environmental Protection Agency's and the agricultural organization's IT systems support each other. Currently, SEGES / Mark Online and Datalogisk / Næsgaard Mark have such an IT system. If you are a new customer of SEGES / Mark Online or use Datalogisk / Næsgaard Mark, you must give consent by proxy. You only have to delegate the power of attorney once, as it is valid, until you choose to revoke it.
