Well Driller (temporary provision and establishment)

The decision on whether or not to issue an authorization will be made as soon as possible and in any case within three months after the complete application is received.

The authorization may be subject to restrictions concerning the pursuit of activities; the authorization may also be limited in time.

In case of rejection

Decisions taken by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency on authorization to work as a well driller cannot be appealed to another administrative authority. Decisions may be brought before the courts.

Persons whose professional qualifications are acquired in an EU Member State or an EEA country (see §2, second paragraph, of the law on recognition of professional qualifications), intending to be established as a well driller – working as a manager – or other well drilling activities in Denmark, are exempted from the obligation of holding an A or B certificate, if the Danish Environmental Protection Agency recognizes that the professional qualifications, held by the applicant are sufficient.
