E-cigarettes, registration form for retailers via cross-border distance sales (temporary and permanent provision)

Without confirmation of registration from the Danish Safety Technology Authority, you must not supply a relevant product to a consumer via a cross-border distance sale.

The Danish Safety Technology Authority will maintain the short average time of 14 days for processing the registration.

In case of rejection

If the Danish Safety Technology Authority decides to reject your registration, you will receive a reasoned notification. You cannot appeal this decision to other authorities.

The same requirements apply as for EU citizens and businesses.

The Danish Safety Technology Authority will regularly publish and update a list of registered retailers on its website. In case of changes of the registered information, the registered party is obliged to inform the Danish Safety Technology Authority hereof.

E-cigarettes registry

Obligation to register via cross-border distance sales, cf. §13 of Act no. 1876 of 20 September 2021 on electronic cigarettes / "Lov om elektroniske cigaretter m.v.". Furthermore the registration is a legal requirement under the EU Tobacco Products Directive (2014/40/EU).
