Tobacco products, registration form for retailers via cross-border distance sales (temporary and permanent provision)

The Danish Safety Technology Authority will maintain the short average time of 14 days for processing the registration.

In case of rejection

If the Danish Safety Technology Authority decides to reject your registration, you will receive a reasoned notification. You cannot appeal this decision to other authorities.

The Danish Safety Technology Authority will regularly publish and update a list of registered retailers on its website. In case of changes of the registered information, the registered party is obliged to inform the Danish Safety Technology Authority hereof.

Tobacco registry

Obligation to register via cross-border distance sales, cf. §23 of Act no. 1489 of 18 June 2021 on tobacco products / "Lov om tobaksvarer". Furthermore the registration is a legal requirement under the EU Tobacco Products Directive (2014/40/EU).
