This section describes how to apply for a permit that will allow you to run a dispatch office that sells taxi services in all of Denmark, either as a sole proprietorship or as a corporation. Taxi services in Denmark can only be sold through an approved dispatch office, and the services are provided by the hauliers and chauffeurs that are connected to the dispatch office.
To be approved for the permit to run a dispatch office in Denmark as a sole proprietorship, you need to fulfill the requirements for:
- Equity
Your equity must be at least 500.000 Danish kroner. - Criminal record and good repute.
- Debt to the public
Your debt to the public cannot be 50.000 Danish kroner or more. - Your business must have a fixed establishment in Denmark.
To be approved for the permit to run a dispatch office in Denmark as a corporation, you need to fulfill the requirements for:
- Equity
The equity of the company must be at least 500.000 Danish kroner. - Criminal record and good repute.
This pertains to the transport manager. In relation to good repute it also pertains to the people behind the company. - Debt to the public
The transport manager’s and the company’s debt to the public cannot be 50.000 Danish kroner or more. - The company must have a fixed establishment in Denmark.
- The transport manager must be approved by the Danish Road Traffic Authority and he or she must be responsible for the running of the company.

Follow these instructions and steps to apply, both as a sole proprietorship or as a corporation:
The first step is to apply. It is the transport manager that must apply, and for this he or she needs an employee signature. The employee signature must be applied for by the owner of the business, and you can contact Nets for more information about this.
The employment contract of the transport manager must be attached to the application, if the transport manager doesn’t own the company. The transport manager and the owner of the business may be the same person or different individuals.
When the transport manager applies, he or she also gives consent to the Danish Road Traffic Authority to access and process the criminal record of the transport manager and information about public debt of the transport manager and the company.
The company’s public debt or the public debt of the transport manager cannot be 50.000 Danish kroner or more.
If the transport manager has lived or lives in another country, he or she also needs to send their criminal record from that country. The record must be original and sent by post to the Danish Road Traffic Authority by the proper authority itself. You, the owner or the transport manager cannot have been in contact with this record.

Documentation for equity must be provided when requested for by the Danish Road Traffic Authority. You can document the equity in the following ways:
- Declaration of equity given by a chartered or registered auditor.
- Collateral arrangement such as a guarantee provided by a credit institution or an insurance company.
- The company’s latest annual report which has been revised or examined by a chartered or registered auditor.
The Danish Road Traffic Authority may need additional information. If this is the case, a request for this will be sent by digital mail to the e-Boks of the transport manager or to the company e-Boks, depending on which body the information pertains.
The answer to the application will be sent by digital mail to the company e-Boks, after which the administrative fee needs to be paid to issue the permit. Note that there is a fee of 800 Danish kroner for every hour it takes to process your application.
The permits are valid for ten years, and they allow the dispatch office to sell taxi services in all of Denmark.
Note that as a dispatch office for commercial passenger transport you are obligated to digitally collect and store data about the taxi services that have been sold through the dispatch office. The dispatch office is also responsible for the prices and ensuring that these do not exceed the national level and are calculated according to the national level.
