We process personal data for the purpose of verifying compliance with the rules on the production or use of genetically modified organisms. This includes in particular treatment for the following purposes:

Personal data submitted in connection with the application for, or notification of, production or risk assessment in connection with production with genetically modified organisms, is used to know who to contact in connection with the case processing and subsequent supervision. In addition, the information is used to assess the users' professional background in connection with the management of the organisms.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency processes your personal data on the basis of Executive Order no. 225 of 19 March 2009 on approval of production with genetically modified microorganisms and Executive Order no. 9 of 4 January 2017 of the Environmental and Genetic Technology Act.

Executive Order on approval of production with genetically modified microorganisms, § 5, and Annex 5, Part A, B and C, § 6 and Annex 3 as well as Executive Order on approval of production with genetically modified plants and animals, § 5, information on the persons responsible for supervision and safety, including names and qualifications and qualifications.

The processing is thus carried out on the basis of Article 6 (1) of the Data Protection Regulation. 1, letter a, letter c and letter e.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency processes any sensitive personal data that you have provided yourself on the basis of Article 9 (1) of the Regulation. 2, letter f (processing is necessary for legal claims to be established, asserted or defended). The Danish Environmental Protection Agency is i.a. obliged to record your personal data in accordance with the rules of the Public Access to Information Act.

We process the following categories of personal information:

• General personal information, including name, place of employment, work telephone, work email, education and qualifications.

We pass on or transfer personal information to the following recipients:

• In some cases, we pass on personal information to other public authorities or external advisers. This depends on the specific case and the environmental or health risk a production may have.
• The Danish Environmental Protection Agency also leaves your personal information to the agency's data processors, eg Statens IT

We do not transfer personal data to third countries, including international organizations.

The personal information originates from the data obtained from the applicant / notifier in connection with an application for and notification of production, as well as the completion of a risk assessment with genetically modified organisms. In addition, information about the company and employees is also collected from virk.dk.

The Danish Environmental Protection Agency processes your information until it must be archived or discarded in accordance with the rules in the Archives Act, cf. Statutory Order no. 1201 of 28 September 2016, or otherwise only as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. When there is no longer a legal or administrative need, the information is discarded (deleted).

We do not use automatic decisions, including profiling, in relation to the treatment.

You have the right to withdraw your review at any time.

You can request that your personal information be deleted at any time. Whether personal data can be deleted depends on the specific case and how far the notification is in the course of the case (eg whether the application has been journalised in accordance with the rules in the Archives Act).

Under the Data Protection Regulation, you have a number of rights in relation to our processing of information about you.

If you want to make use of your rights, you must contact the Danish Environmental Protection Agency.

Right to view information (right of access)

You have the right to access the information we process about you, as well as a number of additional information.

Right to rectification (correction)

You have the right to have incorrect information about yourself corrected.

Right to delete

In special cases, you have the right to have information about you deleted before the time of our general general deletion occurs.

Right to limitation of treatment

In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. If you have the right to have the processing restricted, we may in future only process the information - apart from storage - with your consent, or for the purpose of establishing, enforcing or defending legal claims, or to protect a person or important public interests.

Right to object

In certain cases, you have the right to object to our or lawful processing of your personal data. You can also object to the processing of your information for direct marketing.
