According to Section 18 of the camping regulations, the decisions of the municipal council may be appealed to the Nature Appeals Board. The council’s decisions concerning fire prevention measures and hygiene, cf. Sections 13 and 14 of the camping regulations, cannot, however, be appealed.
The deadline for submitting an appeal is four weeks from the day on which the decision is announced. If the decision is announced publicly, however, the deadline for submitting appeals is always calculated from the date of publication. If the appeals deadline falls on a Saturday or public holiday, it is extended to the next working day.
Appeals should be submitted in writing by letter, fax or e-mail to the municipality concerned, which will forward the appeal to the Nature Appeals Board accompanied by the relevant decision and the material which was included in the assessment of the case.
An appeal submitted on time has a delaying effect on the decision appealed unless the Environmental Board of Appeal decides otherwise.
