How we process personal data
Introduction
As an owner of a personally owned company, here you can learn about what data ATP Livslang Pension (Lifelong Pension) processes, how the data is processed and what rights you have when we process cases and inquiries.
ATP Livslang Pension (Lifelong Pension) is responsible for the processing of the personal data that we have about you.
If you contact us without having a case
If you contact ATP Livslang Pension without having a case, your inquiry will be registered, including, for example, your name and contact details.
If you at a later date begin receiving ATP Livslang Pension, you will be notified of which information is used in the processing of the case.
What information does ATP Livslang Pension process?
The purpose of ATP Livslang Pension’s case processing is to collect ATP contributions on the basis of reports of ATP contributions that you have made on behalf of your employees. ATP Livslang Pension only collects and processes the data necessary for processing the case.
ATP Livslang Pension processes data such as:
The central business registration number of your company
Name, address and company history
Your civil registration number
Your name and address
Whether you live in Denmark or abroad
Registration in eIndkomst.
The information may come from yourself or a public authority such as, for example, the Danish Tax Agency and the CPR register.
How do we process your personal data?
ATP Livslang Pension processes your personal data on the basis of the Danish Act on the Labour Market Supplementary Pension Fund and rules governing the use of personal data.
ATP Livslang Pension makes automated decisions in connection with the collection of the ATP contributions that you have reported for your employees to eIndkomst or directly to ATP via ATP’s self-service solution on Virk.dk.
ATP Livslang Pension can pass on information about you to other public authorities such as, for example, the Danish Tax Agency which is legally entitled to receive the information.
Information on required contributions to ATP Livslang Pension are deleted 10 years after the payment was made on time.
The information on your ATP contributions on behalf of your employees is stored on the basis of documentation requirements in the Danish ATP Act, the Danish Public Administration Act and the Danish Access to Public Administration Files Act.
If you call ATP Livslang Pension, you may be asked if ATP is permitted to record the conversation. The recordings are used solely for training staff and improving the customer experience. The conversation is deleted after two months, but you can always have the conversation deleted earlier by contacting ATP Livslang Pension.
What are your rights?
You can receive a copy of the data we process about you (insight). You can complain about us processing your personal data (objection).
You may also request:
to have your personal data rectified or erased
to have the data sent to you or another party (data portability)
that we suspend the processing of your data.
And finally, you can object to us making automated decisions.
If you ask to have your personal data erased, we may not be able to comply with your request.
There may be conditions or limitations to the rights mentioned above. It is therefore not guaranteed that, for example, you have the right to have your personal data deleted in a specific context - this will depend on the specific circumstances in connection with the data processing. Among other things, this may be due to your personal data being used in a case involving a payment to a third party or for legal compliance reasons.

that you have not received a satisfactory response to your request for access to your personal data

Please note that the Danish Data Protection Agency is only a complaints body in respect ATP Livslang Pension (Lifelong Pension)’s processing of personal data and not the handling of your case.
